NPTEC Candidate – Seat 3: Shirley Allman

Shirley Jo Allman, known traditionally as Tah My Key Ute My, is a distinguished member of the Nez Perce Nation from Clearcreek, Kooskia, Idaho. A dedicated mother to six, she balances her family life with a notable career in leadership and community service.

 

Education:

Educated at Lewis Clark State College (BSc in Elementary Education with minors in Special Education & Reading) and Gonzaga University (Masters of Organizational Leadership), Shirley’s academic background has paved the way for her diverse professional endeavors.

 

Experience:

She boasts over a decade of management experience as Operations Manager at It’se Ye Ye Casino and has played pivotal roles in the Nez Perce Government for over ten years, serving as Secretary, Election Judge, and Resolution Committee member. Her expertise extends to regulatory affairs, evidenced by her time as a Gaming Regulator with the Nez Perce Tribe Gaming Commission and as Vice Chairman of the Nez Perce Tribe Housing Board. Shirley is also serving her first year of a three-year term of her newly elected position on the Lewiston Roundup Board of Directors.

Currently serving the third year in her first term on the Nez Perce Tribal Executive Committee, Shirley’s leadership and commitment to her community are exemplary. Her contributions reflect a deep understanding of tribal governance and a dedication to the progress of the Nez Perce Nation.
