Nez Perce Tribal Police Investigating Death of Woman

Lapwai, ID – After noon on Sunday, June 2, Nez Perce Tribal Police responded to a call reporting the death of a woman in a residence in the White Bird housing addition in Lapwai.  Upon arriving at the scene, the responding officers determined that a female, 37 years of age, had died of unknown causes.  Currently, there is no indication that a crime has occurred, but tribal police are continuing to investigate the matter pending results from blood toxicology tests of the deceased.  Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
