First Responder’s Ball- A Fundraising Benefit for Officer Rigney
Lewiston, Idaho- The Nez Perce Tribe will host a First Responder’s Ball (Ball) on Friday, June 21st, 2019 at the Clearwater River Casino. This event is a benefit for Nez Perce Tribal Police Officer, Joshua Rigney, who was shot while off duty on April 17, 2019. The Ball will run from 6:00 p.m. to midnight, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Activities will include dinner, silent auction, live auction, live music by Aaron Cerutti, DJ Keith Havens, dancing, and more.
This will be an event you won’t want to miss. Come spend time with many of our local first responders and help us in recognizing them for the service they provide to all our communities.
The Ball is just around the corner and tickets are still available. Tables are $500 and will seat eight people, the deadline to get your table is June 14th. Individual tickets are $40 in advance and can be purchased at the door for $50. Auction items are still being accepted as well, up until June 14th. The event is also accepting sponsors until June 14th.
Silver level sponsors will have their name or logo printed on the event program for a donation of $250-$499. Gold level sponsors will have their name or logo printed on the event programs and running on a slideshow for a donation of $500-$999. Platinum level sponsors will have their name or logo printed on the event programs and running on a slideshow, printed on a display banner, and be given shout-outs through the evening.
When Officer Rigney was shot, he was hit twice, and suffered two wounds; one near the chest and the other through his knee. He remained in the hospital for 10 days and underwent multiple surgeries. Proceeds for the event will go directly to Officer Rigney and his family. These funds will assist with any medical costs and unforeseen expenses while he is recovering.
