Zims Hot Springs is Open for Business
New Meadows, Idaho- Zims Hot Springs (Zims) will officially re-open to the general public on Friday, May 24, 2019, under the ownership of the Nez Perce Tribe (Tribe). Zims had been closed while the Tribe worked on several transitional needs and requirements.
Zims will continue to provide the same quality services that were offered prior to the Tribe acquiring the business. An adult day pass is $8.00 and the child day pass is $6.50. The pools will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. seven days a week.
Zims is located at 2995 Zims Road in New Meadows, Idaho. The Tribe purchased the property from long-time owner Allen Dixon on Friday, March 22, 2019. This historic area is part of the Tribe’s aboriginal territory and was once referred to as Chinook Meadows.
“The acquisition of this property brings forth endless possibilities and there is great potential for the site. The most important aspects, however, are the spiritual, cultural and medicinal qualities of the area and the springs,” stated Shannon Wheeler, Chairman of the Nez Perce Tribe Executive Committee. “We are looking forward to building on our relationship with all of our neighbors in the local communities and continuing to provide access to this unique area to all visitors.”
